the summer Pavilion

The Pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery this year is such a contrast from last year; gone is the immersive dark, earthy comfort and instead there is a light, bright cloud-like structure.  In the glorious sunshine we’ve been having the white steel poles shimmer beautifully.  I’m not sure about the cafe on site, encompassed within the lattice work I found it somewhat distracting and the resulting colourful litter a blot on the pure white structure.  Perhaps this contributed to the feeling that I’d had a look and that was sufficient, unlike last year when I repeatedly visited and could have stayed engulfed for hours.  Have you seen it?  What did you think?
