windows to plant boxes

Away from my new office I wandered along the Southbank the other day and amongst some of their Festival of Neighbourhood pieces.  I love the reclaimed wooden window frames turned into greenhouses and window boxes along the Thames; vertical allotments.  There is an abundance of flowers, vegetables and herbs growing in wooden creations designed by Wayward Plants.  The mixture of smells, the different textures and colours of the various plants combined with the beautiful shapes and shadows generated by the wood was really interesting.
